how long should paint dry before applying a transfer?
Wait at least 48 hours after painting before applying for a transfer. Some paints recommend waiting 5 to 7 days for full cure time, so be sure to follow their specific instructions if a longer wait is advised.
Can a transfer be applied to a dark coloured background?
They work best when applied to light-coloured backgrounds, allowing the intricate designs to stand out beautifully.
Do i need to prep the surface
It's important to ensure that your painted surface is completely dry and cured. Clean the surface thoroughly in order to remove any dirt, grease, or wax. Depending on the type of paint used, you may also need to seal the surface prior to applying the transfer. Remember, taking the time to properly prepare the surface will help to ensure a successful and long-lasting
Do transfers need to be sealed?
You are not required to seal your transfer, but if you decide to do so, we suggest using a water-based sealant. Do not use a oil-based sealants as they are not compatible with our transfers. Avoid applying a transfer on a freshly waxed surface.
